Are You Making These Vitamin Mistakes?

Before getting into this topic I need to say something up
front and that is there are certain facts and myths that
exist in the medical community. The worst and most
damaging fact that exists throughout is:
FACT is; The majority of doctors have “hardening of the
Attitude,” MYTH is; they will tell you that if you eat a
balanced diet daily you do not need vitamins and
minerals. Wrong Attitude! You will see why further
in this article!
Top wasting your Money! Biggest Mistake Being Made;
You may not be absorbing your vitamins. This is a near
epidemic problem and unrecognized by the medical
profession and most people taking vitamins.
The most common cause of this problem is taking
inexpensive vitamins in tablet form.
Many tablet manufacturers use a chemical called DCP
as the binding agent to hold all the ingredients in the
tablet. DCP is incapable of breaking down completely in
your body.
One unfortunate part of this; there are no standards
requiring disclosure of DCP in tablets so you may be
getting it in your vitamin tablet and not even know it.
Nurses in hospitals have seen so many undissolved
vitamin tablets in the bed pans they have nick named
them bedpan bullets.”
Here is a simple test to find out if your vitamin is
dissolving. Put it in a glass of water to dissolve. Do not
be surprised when it doesn’t. It should dissolve within
the hour, if not, don’t continue throwing your money
away. I have seen some still in tact 24 hours later.
Of course dissolving does not guarantee that you
are absorbing the nutrients, as other factors come into
play!
By not absorbing the binding particles or the vitamin pills
you could end up with even bigger problems, as large
undigested molecules float through your blood stream.
You could easily wind up with blocked blood vessels,
painful joints, kidney stones and premature aging.
I recommend, and so do the doctors who are in the
know, that you take your vitamins and minerals in loose
powder, liquid, capsule or softgels.
Beware of cut-rate vitamins by mail, grocery stores,
pharmacies and some health food stores who have row
after row of supplements that are not digestible. Get
educated in order to know what's worthy and what
isn't!
Cut-rate vitamin pills often contain additives, food allergens,
sugar, artificial food coloring and flavoring. Some even
contain shellac, chlorine and other potentially hazardous
chemicals. Some contain less than the amount claimed on
the bottle. Doctors at Duke University recently examined 12
bottles of a very popular supplement, which most bottles
contained 60% less than claimed. Numerous other tests
have confirmed that finding as well.
Calcium tablets are usually made from carbonate or oyster
shell, both of which cannot be broken down without
sufficient hydrochloric acid in the stomach, of which very little
is found in stomachs these days. Especially in people who take
Tums, Rolaids, Nexium and such have made it almost totally
impossible to absorb for lack of hydrochloric acid. Also as we
age our stomach does not produce the necessary hydrochloric
acid to make digestion simple. The better choices are calcium
citrate malate and ascorbate, as they do not depend on
hydrochloric acid for breaking down.
Remember, some binder compounds remain in your
bloodstream long after the pill has been eliminated. And that's
where the danger comes in. These remnant molecules can
cause plaque to form on the walls of your veins -- leading to
heart disease and possible stroke, even death. Not to mention
pre-mature aging, painful joints, and kidney stones.
Another blunder being made People are not getting proper
minerals to facilitate absorbing nutrients. That includes your
vitamins. Minerals are a must to maintain health and prevent

WARNING:
Timed-release vitamins and minerals are a no no! A large
number of people are taking Niacin, a B-vitamin, to reduce
cholesterol, and I might add it works well, but timed-release is
putting your liver in danger. Setting you up to damage the liver
so that it cannot function properly and rid the body of the
toxins it must filter out. Timed-release keeps the liver working
constantly never giving it a rest, which is needed just as much
as your body needs sleep to rejuvenate. Timed-release
pills/tablets of any kind should be avoided at all costs.
Never take Vitamin C without its helper, Bioflavonoid. God
combined substances in nature with vitamin C and they unlock
the fullest health power. If you take vitamin C without the
Bioflavonoid you are missing out on the healing power of
Vitamin C. That is the reason you have probably read about
studies that say Vitamin C is ineffective. The studies were
flawed by using a C without Bioflavonoids and they failed
to release that bit of information.
Multivitamins cannot be digested properly with certain
digestive enzymes that are missing in this fast food, processed
food, high fatty diet atmosphere. Therefore you should make
sure any multivitamin you take will include “natural digestive
enzymes, if not in your vitamins be sure to include it in your
daily supplementation.”
Remember that you need vitamins and minerals to keep
your health at its optimum level! And not the RDA amounts,
but at least three times the RDA is required for the average
person, more for an ill person.
Yes, vitamin supplements are healthful and can be
instrumental in regaining or maintaining your health. The trick
is making sure they are dissolvable and absorbable. Make
sure you get ones that dissolve and absorb! Even then
without the proper mineral balance in your system they
probably are not absorbed properly!
