Happiness as a Single Parent

Happiness is something that everybody seems to want but few seem
to have found.
When you were five years old you decided if you could get old
enough to be in school, then you would be happy.
Then you decided happiness was the big kids in high school, that
was where it was really at.
When you got into high school and you decided if you could just
get old enough to graduate, get a drivers license and be on your
own then you would be happy.
After arriving there you decided if you could just find someone
super and get married, well then you would be happy.
When somehow it seemed if you could just get enough money to pay
all the bills and get all the things you wanted then you would be
happy.
You finally put all that together and you discovered you were
still not happy so you decided it must be your spouse, you needed
someone else to be happy so you get divorced.
Now you say if I could just find someone super, then I would be
happy.
Some of the people I have ran into have give up on that and
decided they would get their reward for being miserable here and
they would be happy in the next life.
Personally I sort of doubt it.

Happiness is a learned habit.
Unhappiness is a learned habit.
Your happiness state is not earned and it is not deserved.
Abraham Lincoln said most people are about as happy as they make
up their mind to be.
Ben Franklin said "All the constitution guarantees my friend is
the pursuit of happiness.
You have to catch up to it yourself."
Many singles are searching for someone, a Mr. or Ms. Right to
make them happy.
That is a pretty big burden to lay on anyone.
No one can make you happy.
No, money can not make you happy either. (it is better to be
miserable with, though, then without).
The definition of happiness is:
"A STATE OF MIND WHERE OUR THINKING IS PLEASANT MOST OF THE TIME'.
People who have pleasant thoughts most of the time (happy) think
better, perform better, feel better, look better, are healthier
and live longer.
An unhappy single person repels that super someone for them, a
happy person attracts them like a magnet.
If you have it all together as a happy person on your own, there
will be plenty of friends that will want to bask in your
sunshine, and share your happy life.
